Natural Remedies for Acne Scars

Acne is a very common skin aliment that affects approximately eighty percent of females and ninety percent of males in their teenage years. There is also a wide range of teas that seem to have a positive effect on treating of acne and acne scarring. Teas made from a combination of Echinacea, tea tree oil, goldenseal, nettles or calendula. Teas also made from lavender and chamomile help to reduce stress and reduce acne breakouts. Finally, teas made from cumin, coriander, and fennel, consumed after meals seem to also be an effective way to combat acne and acne scarring.

Another remedy to combat this acne scarring is through diet. Doctors believe that foods high in beta-carotene can help to reduce the factors that contribute to severe acne, and thus reduce the scarring. Orange and yellow foods such as carrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe should be included in your diet for anyone suffering from acne scarring. Another dietary idea is to eat foods such as oatmeal, rice, brown grains, and applesauce.

Dermatologists also suggest that acne suffers looking for natural ways to resolve this aliment should wash the affected area twice a day with a mild soap. This will reduce the number of breakouts and scarring as a result. Most individuals should do this anyway, but check with your doctor as to the kind of soap to use.

While scarring occurs with severe acne, they are many natural ways to try and prevent acne and prevent acne scarring.
